Flora and Fauna United

MEAHLVANAM TRUST is on a current project “Flora and Fauna United” to create a flourishing biodiversity model centered on bringingback native flora and fauna through ecorestoration strategy. Set on a 7-acre land along the serene Vamanapuram river bank in Kadakkavur village near Trivandrum, Kerala, our initiative seeks to directly benefit the region’s indigenous plant, trees and animal species from grasses to trees, from insects to birds and mammals which have declined over the years. And to inspire collective actions by training and empowering our future generations to recognize the value of biodiversity and actively protect ecosystems to create better future impact.

Pillars of this Project

Restore Native Species and Favor Habitats:  focus on the revival of native trees and plant species creating or restoring habitats and microhabitats that attract and favor local wildlife and endemic species.
Integrated Farming : demonstrate how sustainable integrated natural farming can favor biodiversity ensuring the health of ecosystems while supporting communities.
Nature Learning for Future Generation:  inspire the next generation by training children including disabled and marginalized children to embrace a mindset that values nature’s interconnectedness fostering a deep understanding of the need to protect and preserve their own ecosystems for the future.
